Mizzou Cybersecurity Center Forms New Industrial Advisory Board

Mizzou Cybersecurity Center directors have assembled an all-star team of industry professionals to guide the future of research and education around cybersecurity strategies. The new Mizzou Cybersecurity Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) will help plan center activities, provide input into research and educational curricula and consider potential strategic partnerships between the center and their respective organizations.

From Mizzou to Mars: Engineering Alumnus Works on Mars Ascent Vehicle

A Mizzou Engineer’s digital fingerprints will be on the Mars Ascent Vehicle when it makes its historic voyage to the Red Planet in 2026. Christopher Whetsel ’19, works at NASA and has been involved in the program both on the software engineering and project management side.

Fast TRACK Career

Leah Albietz is on the fast track, whether in or out of her race car. Albietz, BS ME ’20, from Wentzville, MO, went beyond just engine building. At age 13, she started drag racing and joined the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).

Fall 2020 Graduates Honored; Recall Mizzou Experiences

Mizzou Engineering came together virtually to celebrate and recognize Fall 2020 graduates on Friday, Dec. 18, as part of Mizzou’s campuswide festivities.

Sharon Langenbeck, BS ’74, MS ’76, PhD ’79, took an opportunity to support future Mizzou Engineers. She came back in 2019 to give a guest lecture about her experiences while at Mizzou and to meet with engineering students, faculty and staff. Now, in addition to Sharon being a role model for women engineers, she has pledged resources to help grow the number of women in the engineering field.
