The St. Pat’s Board has tirelessly worked with College administrators, volunteers, campus officials and others in order to bring about the 119th edition of Engineers’ Week at Mizzou. Although some events have been modified or moved to a virtual environment, we are still able to celebrate Engineers’ Week and honor St. Patrick this year.
As part of the effort to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, please make sure to follow Show Me Renewal guidelines. Visitors to the University of Missouri campus are asked to comply with Mizzou’s safety guidelines and expectations.
Please do not come to campus if you are experiencing symptoms, feel unwell and/or have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Alumni Happy Hour
Join us at The Heidelberg in Columbia to catch up with former classmates and friends of the College. RSVP here.
Dome Lighting, Jesse Hall
One of the most visible and highly anticipated E-week events for not only Mizzou Engineers but all of the Mizzou campus and Columbia community. Come out to watch Jesse Hall’s dome turn green to signify the start of Engineers’ Week at Mizzou.
5K/10K Run/Walk for Charity
This race will take place on Columbia’s downtown streets. Proceeds are donated to benefit Habitat for Humanity as an opportunity to give back to the community. All participants will receive a free t-shirt, and the 5k and 10k winners will win Garmin watches.
The Hot Dog Banquet
Hot Dog Banquet is our way to give back to the students of the College of Engineering. We offer a free lunch for all students and faculty. The event will be held outside of Lafferre Hall and is a great way for the College of Engineering to come together. There might even be a hot dog eating contest!
Diverse Engineering Professionals Conference
Sign up for the Diverse Engineering Professionals Conference (DEPC) featuring keynote speaker Sam Brinton, director of global political strategy at Deep Isolation, which securely disposes of spent nuclear fuel from commercial nuclear reactors. The event starts at 3 p.m. and is scheduled until 5:30 p.m.
Skits & BBQ
Skits & BBQ brings students and faculty together. Royalty candidates put on humorous skits that are judged by our very own staff and faculty. Attendees can enjoy BBQ while they watch the skits that celebrate the College of Engineering.
Professor-for-a-Day
Engineering students will have the opportunity to hear from industry professionals and leaders during their classes.
Lab Exhibits
Departments and research groups open their labs to the public to showcase the innovation happening at Mizzou Engineering. Engineering students volunteer to present and give tours to grade schools, high schools and other community members.
Knighting Ceremony and Grand Kowtow
The Knighting Ceremony and Grand Kowtow are long-running traditions of Engineers’ Week. This is the only time St. Patrick comes to campus, as he safely travels to Mizzou to honor hard-working senior engineering students and celebrate their achievements within the College of Engineering.
Ada Wilson Green Tea Lecture
All students are invited to celebrate women in engineering at the Green Tea Lecture celebrates women in engineering. This year’s lecturer is Linda Wibbenmeyer. This event is being held to recognize seniors graduating from the College of Engineering and is open to all! Following the lecture, a meal will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Chancellor’s Residence.
St. Patrick’s Ball
St. Pat’s Ball, the concluding Engineers’ Week event, dates back to 1905 and is one of the oldest E-Week traditions. The ball includes dinner and dancing hosted by the MU Engineering Alumni Organization. During the festivities, the Queen and the King are crowned.
