Korol stands near a series of machines.

Mark Korol spent his summer as a research operations intern at the MU Research Reactor.

MU Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering undergraduate Mark Korol maximized his engineering and leadership skills this summer, landing a reactor oprerations internship with the MU Research Reactor. Learn a little more about his internship in his own words.

Korol: MURR gives a lot of opportunities for undergraduate students to learn and succeed in professional environments. Not only did I learn more about mechanical and fluid systems but I also learned nuclear physics, reactor theory, electric and instrumentation systems, and the interdisciplinary aspect of engineering design. I also gained valuable experience in the symbiotic relationship between engineers and technicians.
