Where did you complete your undergraduate study?
MS, Artificial Intelligence, University of Edinburgh, UK; B.Eng. Electronic Design Automation, University of Central Lancashire, UK

Why did you choose Mizzou for your graduate program?
I am really lucky that my research program allows me to collaborate with many extremely talented researchers not only in computer science and informatics, but also in psychology, radiology and pathology.

Tell us about your graduate research.  What are some potential outcomes or applications?
The main focus of my research is designing explainable computational methods to study human visual attention. We strive to produce explainable results that can lead to better understanding of the reasoning processes for certain visual tasks such as radiology or pathology. The outcome is also aimed to improve the performance of computational methods in these visual tasks as well as designing methods the process of which is interpretable.

What are some accomplishments you’ve achieved at Mizzou that you’re especially proud of?
I was able to publish a few papers.

What do you hope to do after you complete your degree?
I hope to continue my research in human visual attention and other related areas that help us better understand ourselves and produce more intelligent agents.
